During the <em>Samanid period</em><em>,</em> this area was one of the important centers of Islamic Civilization. After Russian conquest and the establishment of the Soviet Union, Islam was severely repressed in this area. And today independent Tajikistan is involving in a new religious stage. This article first seeks to provide an answer to this question: What historical stages has Islam experienced in this country? Based on historical research, we classify the local history of Islam into three periods and then look for the major events of each period related to it. Afterward, the most significant social- political movements of present-day Tajikistan are described- Secular- political, Religious- political and Ethnic- National. In order to argue about the first movement, the Political system and the organization of parties are considered. Islamic beliefs and practices of people as informal aspect of Islamism, and activities of Islamic organizations as formal aspect of Islamism are examined in order to illustrate the second movement. Finally, the nation- and state-building process in Tajikistan is reported to make the third movement clear. In conclusion, it is argued that there is a close relationship between those three historical stages and these three contemporary movements. اسلام در سرزمین تاجیکستان تاریخ دیرینه‌ای دارد و مراحل متفاوتی را در آن گذرانیده است. در زمان سامانیان، این منطقه یکی از مراکز مهم تمدن اسلام بوده است. با فتح این کشور به دست روس‌ها و شکل‌گیری اتحاد جماهیر شوروی، اسلام در این سرزمین به شدت تحت فشار قرار گرفت. امروز تاجیکستانِ استقلال‌یافته به لحاظ دینی وارد مرحلۀ تازه‌ای شده است. این مقاله در گام نخست قصد دارد به این سؤال پاسخ دهد که اسلام در این کشور از چه مراحل تاریخی عبور کرده است. ما بر اساس مطالعات تاریخی، حیات اسلام را در این منطقه به سه دوره تقسیم کرده و مهم‌ترین وقایع معطوف به این دین را در هر دوره تعقیب می‌کنیم. در گام دوم مهم‌ترین جریان‌های اجتماعی-سیاسی امروز تاجیکستان معرفی می‌شوند که عبارتند از: جریان سکولار-سیاسی، جریان مذهبی-سیاسی و جریان قومی-ملی. در مورد یکم، به نظام سیاسی و سازمان احزاب می‌پردازیم. در مورد دوم، اعتقادات و اعمال اسلامی مردم به‌عنوان بعد غیررسمی اسلام‌گرایی و فعالیت‌های سازمان‌های اسلامی به‌عنوان بعد رسمی آن بررسی می‌شوند. در آخرین مورد به خصوصیات فرآیند ملت‌سازی و دولت‌سازی در جامعۀ تاجیکستان اشاره می‌کنیم. در بخش نتیجه‌گیری به رابطۀ تنگاتنگی که میان سه مرحلۀ تاریخی حیات اسلام و سه جریان امروزی وجود دارد پرداخته می‌شود. https://jsr.ut.ac.ir/article_70355_afb0c5f8aeca0b5fda31390cfae50606.pdf
