Abstract
Social sciencesin Iran have always been criticized and evaluated, and one of these criticisms is in the field of its relationship with Iranian society from a theoretical and methodological point of view. What is the relationship between social sciences and Iranian society and whether these sciences have been able to create the necessary methodological or conceptual tools to understand Iranian society are key questions in this direction. In this article, the methodological possibilities of native social sciences in relation to Iranian culture have been discussed, and for this, the works of Morteza Farhadi in the studies of Iranian culture have been emphasized. The results of this article show that Farhadi's central emphasis on the field of research as the main pillar of the formation and development of his theoretical and methodological ideas has not only led to the design of important ideas in the understanding of Iranian society, but Farhadi has been able to develop a special way of ethnographic methodology with the title of micro-ethnography in relation to the conditions of Iranian society his perception of total social fact and emergency situation of “undevelopement” of Iranian society”. He called this methodology as micro-ethnography. I try to explain micro-ethnography in the context of native anthropology of Farhadi.
