This article intends to analyze the concept of "The Mustazáf Class'' and for this purpose, has conducted a comparison between the sociological meaning of CLASS and the concept of MUSTAZÁF (the oppressed/dispossessed) in the literature of the 1979 Revolution. In the present writing, we will address which social strata the Mustazáfin (oppressed) included from the perspective of the prominent figures who employed this concept and what theoretical issues arose from naming these social groups a CLASS. This research, which is of the descriptive analytical type, was written with a Qualitative approach and Documentary method. The main technique used in its execution was the qualitative content analysis of writings and speeches. For understanding CLASS, we referred to the theories of Marx, Weber, Poulantzas , and Wright and for comprehending the category of MUSTAZÁF (the oppressed), we focused on the views of Shariati, Motahari and Imam Khomeini. Our analysis shows that calling the Mustazáfin a class occurred in reaction to the terminological frameworks of the Left approach but due to some internal contradictions, it has led to the neglect of class oppression.
