Statistics and figures indicate a growing intensification of economic inequality worldwide and within nations. Despite centuries of striving for justice and equality, global living conditions have deteriorated rather than improved. This research investigates the reasons behind Iranians' acceptance of such high levels of economic inequality. Employing historical methods and secondary analysis, we explored the theoretical underpinnings of this phenomenon within the context of Iranian mentality and culture. Through examining the views of over thirty Iranian and foreign experts in the field, as well as analyzing proverbs and folk wisdom, we developed a theoretical model for understanding Iranians' acceptance of inequality. This model identifies despotism, authoritarianism, fatalism, patriarchy, individualism, selfishness, irresponsibility, objectification, and self-deception as key factors influencing this acceptance within Iranian mental culture. Furthermore, secondary analysis of national surveys revealed that public neglect and ignorance of the extent of economic inequality coupled with a tendency to hold individuals responsible, are additional significant contributors to the acceptance of economic inequality.
