The aim of this article is to genealogy of ascetic ethics in the post-revolutionary era.During the second Pahlavi era, we witness the formation of a kind of sexual revolution, specifically in cinema.Examining how sexualized culture ultimately created ascetic reactions is the central issue of this article. The first part is an examination of the sexual revolution of the 1960s and 1970s, which, through an examination of movie posters, we came to the conclusion that we are facing a kind of pornographicization of culture. In response to this culture, a specific type of asceticism in the direction of resistance is formed in the second Pahlavi era, which constitutes the second part. In this part, we interpreted the asceticism of the guerrilla social type.In the third part, we studied the specific type of asceticism in the form of Hezbollah and Basij in the post-revolution and war era. The aim of this article is to examine the constructed asceticisms in the process of modernization of Iran. The sexualized culture of the pre-revolution created an anxiety that resulted in the formation of different types of asceticism in order to negate it. In the guerrilla type asceticism showed itself more in the form of hatred for seductive women,; in the Hezbollah type, it showed itself more in the form of asceticism focused on the face and hatred for women who did not wear a veil; and in the Basij type, it showed itself more in the form of bad conscience.
