Journal of Sociological Review

The Journal of Sociological Review (JSR) is an open-access, peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Tehran. As one of Iran's established venues for sociological scholarship, the journal is devoted to advancing theoretical and empirical inquiry into the relationship between art, literature, and society, while engaging with the broader field of social studies. The journal publishes original research and review articles that fall within its thematic scope, with a particular emphasis on sociological studies of culture, identity, politics, religion, gender, economics, and social change. Contributions are expected to demonstrate methodological rigor and theoretical depth, drawing on diverse traditions ranging from classical social theory to contemporary critical and interpretive approaches. All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process involving at least two reviewers. The journal welcomes contributions from scholars in sociology and related disciplines, and remains dedicated to fostering critical dialogue on the social questions that shape contemporary Iran and the wider world.
